Martirosyan: Most of Karabakh Residents Want to Be Part of Azerbaijan
If today a referendum is held in Nagorno-Karabakh, then 80-90% of the population will vote for it to be part of Azerbaijan. This was said by the Armenian dissident and human rights activist Vahan Martirosyan at today’s press conference in Baku.
He reported the difficult financial situation of the population of Karabakh and said prosperity is only for a narrow circle of people surrounding Bako Sahakyan.
“In Karabakh, it is difficult even with the water supply, in spite of the millions which Sahakyan receives from the Diaspora in the West. Apart from the military and their families, in Karabakh about 40 thousand people live,“ Martirosyan said.
Regarding the intentions of the separatists to rename the Nagorno-Karabakh into Artsakh, Martirosyan said: “Karabakh must be called not Artsakh, but Colombia, since there is a thriving drug trafficking and arms sale.” -06D--
