Military seamen of the Caspian countries are preparing for the "Sea Cup"
Baku /28.07.18 /Turan: Crews of warships of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Iran have begun preparations for the international competition "Sea Cup-2018". On the training ground of the Navy of Azerbaijan, they conducted artillery fire to destroy sea mines and trained in mooring in various ways, the press service of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said. Further, the crews of the warships will conduct artillery fire at sea and air targets, will work out measures on the survivability of the ships.
The "Sea Cup-2018" competition with participation of military seamen of Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan and Iran will be held in Azerbaijani territorial waters from July 31 to August 10. The participation of the military seamen of Turkmenistan - the fifth coastal country - is not reported.
On August 12 in the Kazakh city of Aktau the signing by the heads of five Caspian littoral countries of the Convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea is scheduled, which will put an end to the long-term disputes and conflicts in the Caspian Sea regarding the division of the seabed and natural resources, the laying of pipelines, etc.-02D-
