Mirmahmud Miralioghlu Summoned to Court
The leader of the Classic Popular Front Mirmahmud Miralioglu was summoned to the Prosecutor of Baku to testify today, Turan was told by sources in the party.
According to the same source, the invitation was received from the investigator for particularly important cases Vagif Suleymanov. However Mirmahmud Miralioghlu does not know what the subpoena is connected with, because the agenda states that the evidence is related to the matter, which is currently investigated by the magistrate. However, there is neither a case number nor article of the Criminal Code on the agenda.
It can be assumed that it has to do with the charges of the alleged poisoning of ex-President Elchibey.
Miralioghlu was one of those, who were close to Elchibey in his last days in the Turkish hospital Gulhane, where he died from cancer. However, a couple of months ago, the pro-government party Muasir Musavat's head, Hafiz Hajiyev said Elchibey was poisoned, and his statement was the basis for the criminal prosecution. -05B04-
