MP praises the Customs and the Ministry of Taxes for the growth of transfers to the state budget
Baku / 05.11.18 / Turan: After the change of leadership of the State Customs Committee, revenues to the state budget through this department increased by 800 million manat, stated MP Vahid Ahmedov speaking on Monday at a meeting of the Milli Majlis. During the discussion of the draft state budget in 2019, he noted that the government"s policy against corruption and the shadow economy is already yielding results. Commenting on his statements in an interview with Turan, Ahmedov noted that after the change of leadership of the SCC (in April of this year), the practice of harassing entrepreneurs and additional fundraising ceased. According to him, for 9 months of 2018, the state budget additionally received 800 million manats from customs duties. In addition, the budget for 2019 increased the forecast targets for all types of taxes. "This is all despite the fact that there were no changes in legislation either on customs duties or on taxes. Azerbaijan has been appropriating these funds for 27 years as an independent state for 20 years. This applies not only to the SCC, but also to other government agencies. If these negative phenomena are eliminated, the state budget will grow," said Ahmedov. -06D-
