"Musavat" condemned the arrest of PPFA activist Dayanat Babaev
The Musavat party issued a statement condemning the institution of criminal proceedings against Dayanat Babaev, a member of the youth organization of PPFA.
The statement reminds us that the man was arrested for taking part in the action on 17 November and was sentenced to seven days imprisonment. Participants in this action demanded the dissolution of the current parliament.
After the completion of administrative detention Babaev was prosecuted. In this regard, the Interior Ministry issued a statement in which it said that Dayanat Babaev, along with members of PPFA Musa Rahim and Elvin Baijan insulted and caused minor injuries to Tofig Salimov. The incident took place allegedly on Nizami Street on November 7. For this reason, the Nasimi Court on Nov. 24 warranted the arrest of Babaev, against whom a criminal case was filed on charges of hooliganism.
Musavat said that the criminal case was instituted to curb political activity of Babaev. Recently, the authorities have intensified the repression of youth activists to intimidate them.
Musavat demands an end to pressure and release of the arrested, because this kind of repression by the authorities will not give the expected effect. -05D04-

On November 13, representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Afghan Taliban held talks in Baku as part of the COP29 conference. According to a report by Turan correspondent, the discussions took place behind closed doors and lasted for over an hour. No statements were made to the press following the meeting. Furthermore, conference security prevented journalists from asking questions to the meeting participants.

She had been accredited in the "Green Zone" as a civil rights activist. From the moment she entered the conference area, a young man began to follow her.
