"Musavat" party issued a statement in connection with the violation of the rights of Tofig Yagublu, deputy chairman of the party, serving his sentence in jail N 13. Yagublu was sentenced to five years in prison on trumped-up charges; the statement authors note that a violation of Yagublu’s right continue. In particular, he is not given the opposition press. Even if he is given "Yeni Musavat" and "Azadlig" newspapers, they very quickly withdraw them. On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years.
