The Court rejected motions by the defense of NIDA
The Court of Grave Crimes chaired by Javid Huseynov continued the preliminary hearing on the case of seven activists of the youth organization NIDA and one member of the movement Tamiz Dunya.
At today's hearing, the judge dismissed all the motions by the defense which asked for the prosecution to be halted and the release of the youth activists due lack of evidence.
The judge ruled the trial should begin on November 28.
Previously, the activists were charged with preparing riots, using Molotov cocktails and with drug possession. The true cause of their persecution is their calls for protests in the center of Baku against non-combat losses of soldiers in the army on 10th March. -16/03D-
