The European Union will support the project of the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline
Baku / 23.10.18 / Turan: Representatives of the European Union at negotiations with the delegation of Turkmenistan in Brussels expressed their willingness to help attract investment in the construction of the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline, Turkmen media reported.
"The EU showed great interest in building the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline and supplying Turkmen gas to Europe. The European Union expressed readiness to attract investments in this major energy project," said the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov at a meeting of the Turkmen government following the visit to Brussels and talks with European Commissioner for Energy Maros Shevkovich. According to him, Turkmenistan is ready to annually supply 30 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe for at least 30 years.
Before going to Brussels, Meredov visited Baku, where he discussed the likely conditions for the construction of the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline to the coast of Azerbaijan and its further connection to the gas pipeline (TANAP). -02D-
