The information about the publication of the book of Leila and Arif Yunus in Armenia is a lie
Baku / 31.01.20 / Turan: A message published on haqqin.az about the upcoming publication of the book by Leyla and Arif Yunus in Armenia and its presentation on March 31 is a lie, reported the authors - human rights activists in political emigration Leyla and Arif Yunus.
The book consists of two parts: the first was written by Arif, and the second by Leila. They both indicated that they began to write a book in prison, each individually.
In 2018, the book was published in Europe, where the couple moved after release. Money for the publication was allocated by the European Endowment for Democracy.
The Foundation also helped with the translation of the book into English, which will soon be released.
In addition, the PEN Club of Austria translated the book into German and published it. A translation into Dutch is being prepared.
“There are persons in the book whom I speak out impartially, including Eynulla. Hence his reaction. It did not scare me when the authorities accused me of Armenian espionage, etc. You need to be afraid when the authorities, especially people like the author of a publication, praise you,” said Arif Yunus. -02B-
