The judge refuses to call Gular Ahmedova to court
Next trial in the case of the editor of “Khural” newspaper Avaz Zeynalli took place in the Baku Serious Crimes Court.
The trial presided by Ramella Allahverdiyeva heard the testimony of the last witness from the bailiffs of Narimanov district, Fuad Nabiyev. He said that he did not have any cases related to Zeynalli. He familiarized with the cases only during the 12-day executing the duties of the Head of bailiffs in December 2010. The answers of the witness to every question were brief "do not know", "I do not remember."
Because other witnesses did not come to the court, the judge made a decision to deliver them to trial forcibly, except the MP Gular Ahmedova. The judge explained by the fact that Akhmedov is a deputy. At the same time, the judge promised to invite Akhmedova.
Then other defense motions were considered, but were denied. Thus, the judge rejected the motion on the replacement the arrest to house arrest or on bail. The trial will continue on September 27.—06D--
