The ruling party abuses the European Parliament resolution
The ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) expressed dissatisfaction with the European Parliament resolution on human rights violations in Azerbaijan.
Deputy Chairman of the NAP, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmedov called the resolution "biased and non-objective."
He noted that Azerbaijan has been cooperating with the EU on various projects, but this cooperation does not give the European Parliament a "moral right to put forward groundless accusations against Azerbaijan."
Azerbaijan is an independent state and has the right to determine its own destiny. You cannot influence Azerbaijan and interfere in its internal affairs, Ahmedov said.
"Unfortunately, this authoritative body of Europe has taken the wrong path to support an initiative pursuing the narrow interests of several members. Every deputy of the European Parliament is aware of the rapid development of Azerbaijan, of the improving welfare of the population, on the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms. Most of them have repeatedly visited Azerbaijan.
The European parliamentarians also know such truth as massive violation of the rights of Azerbaijani refugees and internally displaced persons as a result of the Armenian aggression. Unfortunately, the resolution has no items to protect their rights and the need to return them to their homes," complained Ahmedov. -16D-
