The whole government is responsible for the energy blackout - A. Hajili
Baku / 05.07.18 / Turan: Accidents at Mingachevir Thermal Power Plant (TPP), which resulted in energy blackout, are a very serious issue related to Azerbaijan's security, said in an interview with Turan the head of the Musavat Party, Arif Hajili, commenting on the yesterday's meeting chaired by President Ilham Aliyev, where he criticized the work of Azerenerji OJSC.
However, according to Hajili, not only the leadership of Azerenerji, headed by Etibar Pirverdiyev, is guilty. "The entire government under the leadership of Ilham Aliyev is responsible for this incident," Hajili said. In his opinion, the incident showed the vulnerability of Azerbaijan from the point of view of security. He condemned the authorities' attempts to reduce the accident at the thermal power station to a local incident.
Dumping responsibility only on the head of one agency the authorities want to belittle the scale of the emergency. However, Pirverdiyev he was not even dismissed from his job.
"Billions were invested in the energy sector, but the goals of achieving energy security have not been achieved. Here, as in other spheres, corruption is observed," Hajili said. -05B06-
