Turkey Blocks All Social Networks and E-mail
On the night of November 4, the Turkish authorities blocked access to all social networking sites and email. According to reports from Turkey, access to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp, Skype and YouTube has been blocked.
According to local observers, the event is associated with the measures of the authorities against several pro-Kurdish leaders and the attacks that happened later.
Yesterday the authorities arrested 11 MPs from the pro-Kurdish Party for Democracy of Peoples headed by its leader Demirtash and accused them of having links with PKK (Kurdish Workers Party).
Ankara has not yet made official statements about the reason for blocking social networks. -02B-
