U.S. Sending $325M In Weapons, Equipment To Ukraine In Latest Package
Washington D.C./20.04.23/Turan: The Biden administration on Wednesday announced another $325 million in military assistance to Ukraine, TURAN's Washington correspondent reports.
The lethal aid package, the 36th drawdown authority, includes more more ammunition for U.S.-provided HIMARS and artillery rounds, as well as anti-armor systems, small arms, logistics support vehicles, and maintenance support essential to strengthening Ukraine’s defenders on the battlefield," Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement.
The aid will help Ukraine defend itself against Russia, the Secretary noted.
"Russia could end its war today. Until Russia does, the United States and our allies and partners will stand united with Ukraine for as long as it takes," reads the statement.
The latest package brings total aid to Ukraine since Russia's invasion to more than $35.4 billion.
