A disabled boy from Azerbaijan became blind after being beaten in Zelenograd
Staff of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Moscow met with 14-year-old disabled boy from Azerbaijan, who has become almost blind because of the beating in a bus in Zelenograd.
"The employees of the Azerbaijani embassy found him in the children's hospital named after Morozov, where he was taken with concussion and an eye injury. He has eye trouble. The employees talk with him to find out the details of what happened," said the press service of the Embassy. The boy's mother said that "as a result of the attack and inflicted injuries, her son’s poor eyesight deteriorated, falling to 1%, which is equivalent to a complete loss of vision."
"At the instruction of the Ambassador, an employee of the Azerbaijan's Interior Ministry promptly contacted colleagues from the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, and informed him that the case is under contact with the employees of Russia’s Ministry of Interior," according to the press-service.
A drunken man beat up the boy in Moscow on November 2. Witnesses say that a 25-year-old man who shouted that all migrants should be driven out of Russia.
Later it was revealed that the victim’s family has been living in Zelenograd for 10 years. In addition, he is disabled, and attends a correctional school. The man began to beat a teenager who was not able to escape or evade. A female witness asked the man to stop and called upon the help of others, but no one helped. Fortunately, a bus stopped right beside the police on duty and they intervened in the conflict.
When the bully was detained, he was trying to "negotiate" with the police and the beaten teenager. Since he did not succeed, he began to argue that the boy himself started the conflict. -02В-
