Action of the workers of the factory named after Tagiyev in front of the presidential administration
On Tuesday several tens of residents of the dormitory named after Zeynalabdin Tagiyev assembled in front of the Presidential Administration. They chanted: "We demand our apartments", "Punish cheaters."
The police stopped the protesters and took away protesters paper slogans, but could not push the protesters. The delegation of protesters was received in the presidential administration, where they promised to clarify the matter.
One hundred and sixty families, former employees, and another 12 families of displaced people live in this hostel.
In 2004, Mayor Office allocated for these families a land for construction of houses for the families. "Oguz" company began the construction in 2008 whcih completed in spring 2012. However, only 80 families were given an apartments. The rest of the homeless, they were fraudulently given a paper to sign, in which they allegedly refused apartments in a new building and wanted to stay in a hostel. Realizing that this was fraud, people began to protest, demanding their apartments. -05C04-
