ANAMA Minesweeper Blown Up by Mine in Aghdam Region
Baku/29.01.21/Turan: An employee of ANAMA (Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action) was injured in a mine explosion in the territory of the liberated Aghdam region.
As reported in ANAMA, the anti-personnel mine, set by the Armenian military, detonated at the moment when the head of the demining group, Mirzoyev Elmeddin Tofig Oglu, born in 1983, was in charge of his duties, engaged in its neutralization.
As a result of the explosion, Mirzoyev lost his left foot and received numerous shrapnel wounds.
In the regional hospital Mirzoyev underwent a surgical operation, and his condition is assessed as consistently severe. -06D-
