Azerbaijani political emigrant wounded in France
Baku/17.03.22/Turan: On March 15, a member of the organization of Azerbaijani political emigrants in Europe AND Elnur Masimov was subjected to an armed attack in French Toulouse.
The head of AND, journalist Ganimat Zahid, told Turan, that the armed attack was committed when Massimov was driving in his car with a friend.
They were blocked by another car in which there were 4 people.
Massimov was shot at and wounded in the knee.
And Masimov's friend was stabbed in the heart and is currently in intensive care. Massimov underwent surgery and has already been discharged.
AND management believes that the attack "did not have personal motives", but was "ordered". “The identity of the attackers is unknown. It happened in the dark hours of the day and the faces of the attackers could not be seen. They were dressed in "Chechen" hats. At the same time, they did not speak anything in any language,” Zahid said.
According to him, members of Massimov's family in Azerbaijan were repeatedly warned by the police to stop his opposition activities in France against the Azerbaijani authorities.—06B-
