Baku authorities refused to sanction pickets of Karabakh committee
Baku/06.11.18/Turan: The executive authorities refused to sanction the pickets appointed by the Karabakh public committee on November 8 in front of the embassies of the countries co-chairing the OSCE Minsk Group - the United States, France and Russia in Baku. The city administration considered it inexpedient to hold actions and motivated it by the fact that the embassies of these countries are located in Baku, where heavy traffic and this can create problems for the free movement of citizens and "disrupt the working rhythm of transport."The Karabakh Committee planned to hold pickets in order to urge the co-chair countries to be active in the Karabakh settlement.
Earlier, on September 29, the "Karabakh" committee held a rally under the slogan "Liberation of Karabakh" and demanded decisive action from the authorities to restore the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. However, the next rally of the Karabakh Committee, appointed on November 24, the city authorities also refused to authorize.
* The Karabakh Committee was established in the summer of this year with the goal of constantly maintaining public attention to the Karabakh conflict through mass campaigns, scientific conferences, exhibitions, etc.It includes 17 public associations and movements, including the Karabakh Liberation Organization, the Classic Popular Front Party, Nationalist Action, Civil Solidarity, the Islamic Party, the White Party, the National Democratic Party, the Karabakh Veterans Organization, and others, as well as individually 13 veterans of the Karabakh war. -05D06-
