Border guards reported for 2022
Baku/18.01.23/Turan: Border guards stopped smuggling 1,383 kg of drugs worth 36.5 million manats last year. The data was published on Wednesday at the reporting meeting of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan on the results of 2022.
In the reviewed period 559 people were detained for violating the state border, 9827 for violating the border regime, 2,843 for being wanted, 319 for forged documents, 6 for using someone else's documents, and one person trying to illegally cross the border.
Note that weapons were used in six cases during the detention of border violators. At the same time, two violators were injured, four killed. -0-
