Calls for a ban on Internet media again come from the Azerbaijani Parliament
Today the first meeting of the autumn session of the Milli Majlis called to "close the Internet and social media." MP from the ruling party "Yeni Azerbaijan" Malahat Ibrahimgizi attacked the internet media for their online content. She particularly noted materials of Meydan TV and page "Sancaq" in facebook.
Ibrahimgizi considers that these resources are spreading "unworthy" material on the head of state.
"I screen shot" all these materials. Now it is impossible to make a decision on the Internet TV, because there are gaps in the law. Therefore, I propose to include in the agenda of the autumn session the bill on the regulation of Internet TV," she said noting that "nowhere in the world the head of state is offended."
However, today, this proposal was not supported in the hall, though earlier similar suggestions were made by other deputies. So, two years ago, MP Fazail Agamali suggested to close access to Facebook in Azerbaijan. In many government offices are closed the accesses on Youtube and Facebook are closedfor several years.
Meanwhile, the administrator of the page "Sancaq", blogger Mehman Huseynov responded quickly to attack of Ibrahimgizi. "Sancaq" is not a corrupt channel, and is not a water tap which can open and close. To close “Sancaq” you must disable the Internet," Huseynov wrote on his page. "It is a crime to shoot and show bureaucratic arbitrariness, illegality in the country, bribery, and rigged elections ???" he added. -06В-

Baku, often called the "Caucasian Dubai," is increasingly known for systematic violations of residents' housing rights. Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
