Customs House Allows Books by Jamil Hasanli
Baku / 08.06.18 / Turan: Jamil Hasanli, chairman of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF), was returned his books detained by customs officers of the Baku airport the day before. He wrote about this on his Facebook page.
On June 8, he received a call from the UPS international postal service and was asked to inform where four copies of the book Stalin and the Turkish Crisis of the Cold War should be delivered.
Earlier, on June 7, at the customs house, the author was told that the decision to admit or not to admit books to the country would be made after they had been read.
Hasanli noted that these books had already been imported to Azerbaijan after publication in 2011 and 2013. "Apparently customs officers decided to read the books for the third time and get enlightened," he said, evaluating the behavior of customs officers as "ignorance". -06D--
