Do authorities create morale police?
Baku/09.02.19/Turan: The legislation of Azerbaijan does not provide for cases "against the national mentality" and "against public morality". Therefore, the struggle of the police against the manifestations of this does not look clear.
The lawyer Samira Agayeva told Turan agency, commenting on today's statement by the police of the capital about the beginning of the fight against licentiousness and immorality in the city center.
According to her, the creation of special police squads for the above purposes is the creation of a morale police. "The authorities must first explain what exactly they are going to fight against, what norms are in question and what measures will be used to assess their violation? Miniskirts or walking along the street holding hands?" she said. -0-
