Ceremony of awarding prizes "Rafiq Tagi", established by the youth movement "Dalga" ("Wave") took place on Friday in the business center "Dalga Plaza". According to the co-founder of the movement, Ramig Hajili, the award was established to perpetuate the memory of journalist Rafiq Tagi.
The ceremony was timed to the anniversary of the death of Tagi, who died on November 23, 2011, four days after inflicting an unknown multiple stab wounds.
The prize is awarded for the development of enlightenment in Azerbaijan, and the tradition was launched in the 19th by Mirza Fatali Akhundov, Hasan bey Zardabi and others. The followers of this tradition has become the late Taqi said. First degree diploma "Rafiq Tagi" was awarded to the philosopher Agalar Mammadov.
"Dalga" will finance the publication of his book "Ashma" ("Overcoming") , a collection of the author’s works. Young writers Elnur Astanbeyli and Seymour Baijan were awarded the Diplomas of the second and third places , and were given cash prizes.–06D--
