Following the university "Caucasus", the network of the Lyceum İstək is also closed
Baku/06.07.18/Turan: The founder of the network of Lyceum "İstək" appealed to the Ministry of Education with a request to take a decision to suspend the activities of the educational institution.
However, the Ministry of Education does not say anything about the reasons for this decision.
The Ministry of Education only announces the establishment of a working group to address the transfer of students and teachers to other educational institutions.
The network of the Lyceums İstək was established in Azerbaijan in the early 1990s called "Cağ Oyretim" is a global educational network under the auspices of the Hizmet Movement, led by the Turkish preacher Fethullah Gülen.
Problems in these educational institutions began in Azerbaijan, five years ago after the persecution of Gulen's followers in Turkey.
After the failure of the coup attempt in Turkey in July 2016, of which the authorities accused Gulen, the activities related to his name were canceled in Azerbaijan. Thus, the Turkish Newspaper Zaman ceased its activities, the "Caucasus" University was self-destructed and the Network of Lyceums İstək is now closed. These educational institutions and the "Caucasus" university were once considered the best educational institutions in Azerbaijan.
In recent years, İstək lyceums have operated in Baku, Guba, Sumgait, Agdash, Lankaran, Ganja and Sheki. -06D--
