Four believers are detained in Guba on suspicion of relations with religious radicals

Four believers were detained last night in Guba during the raid, according to local human rights activist Avtandil Mammadov. Among the arrested was his cousin, a resident of Rustov, a 22-year Vafanur Mammadov.

According to human rights activist, V.Mammadov was detained  by people in black masks at his home about 1 o'clock at night.  A young man is accused of connection with the members of the radical Wahhabi group. However, according to A. Mammadov, V.Mammadov only two months ago  began to pray. V.Mammadov is convicted of storage grenades at home.

"Previously Vafanur’s father was arrested on trumped-up case. The family has no money to buy a sack of flour , how he got the money to purchase a grenade," said Mammadov.

According to him, the district police denied any involvement in the operation and had no information on the whereabouts of the faithful. He believes that the operation was carried out  by the National Security Ministry (NSM.)   Turan failed to get comments  in the NSM.—06D--
