Committee to Protect Rights of the arrested editor of "Tolyshi Sado" newspaper, Hilal Mammadov, held a regular meeting on Friday, which examined the problems raised at the previous meeting on July 27.
As it was planned, they prepared the draft of legal opinion on the violation of the human rights of Mammadov, both during the arrest, and after it, as well as articles, portrait, representing him as a person and a citizen.
Following the discussions and making amendments and proposals, it was decided to finalize and present these documents to the next meeting in order to further spread to the public.
The meeting participants noted that the staff of the Baku detention facility illegally restricted the opportunity for Mammadov to send letters.
It was also decided to make a request to change the preventive measure because of his chronic disease, asthma.
Lawyers of Mammadov informed that no investigative activities are carried out.
Chief editor of "Tolyshi Sado" and the deputy head of the Talysh Cultural Centre, Hilal Mammadov, was arrested on June 21 on charges of drug possession.
