Interrogations of Khadija Ismayilova postponed indefinitely (updated)

The journalist Khadija Ismayilova was questioned again today, the Investigation Department of Serious Crimes of the Prosecutor General said. The investigator again asked her about the meeting with representatives of the Senate in the Restaurant Art Garden. Besides, the investigation examined the personal computer of the journalist, the writings on her Facebook, the conversations on Skype, and e-mail, including contacts with the former investigator of MNS Ramin Nagiyev, who is currently in political emigration.

According to the journalist, she was not informed about the time of the next interrogation, saying that she would be informed when required. --0--

The investigative journalist Khadija Ismayilova today at 10:30 came to the Office for Serious Crimes Prosecutor General's Office to testify. The investigation asked the journalist to bring her computer, too.

At the last interrogation Ismayilova was asked about her meeting with employees of the U.S. Senate in the restaurant Art Garden. The transcript of this meeting was made allegedly by MP Jeyhun Osmanli and transferred to the prosecutor.

Recall that the call is connected with the accommodation of a document on the recruitment of an opposition activist as an agent. A criminal case was raised under Article 284.2 (dissemination of state secrets). -03B04-
