Ismayilov: Empty MP seats breaking the law
Three MP seats remain vacant for a long time, which is a violation of the law . This was announced by MP Ilyas Ismayilov at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis.
The free seats were formerly occupied by Guler Ahmadova (arrested for fraud), Ali Ahmedov (appointed deputy prime minister) and Hikmet Atayev (died in a traffic accident) .
By law, within 3 months by-elections are to be held for vacant MP seats, but this does not happen for many months. This is a serious violation of the law, but no one tries to resolve the issue, Ismayilov said.
This remark was actually ignored by the Deputy Speaker. - 07B -
