Kamran Hashimli : Ministry of National Security (MNS) should be eliminated
Physical and moral pressure on the journalist Parviz Hashimli continues, investigation into his case is delayed, and he has not been transferred from the Ministry of National Security Ministry of Justice to jail, said at the press conference today a members of his family and the head of Popular Front Party, Ali Kerimli.
An employee of the newspaper "Bizim Yol" and editor of the site Moderator.az , Parviz Hashimli, was arrested on September 17 by the MNS . He was accused of arms smuggling , illegal possession and carrying of weapons in collusion with a group of individuals. Sabail court sanctioned his arrest for two months, and on November 7 arrest term was extended for another three months.
Parviz Hashimli rejects these accusations, and organization Amnesty International declared him a prisoner of conscience.
The journalist’s father, Kamran Hashimli, said his son was tortured in the MNS , he appealed to the leadership of the country, but did not receive any answer.
He expressed surprise that Sheikh Pashazade visited the Armenian captive, but ignores the requests of citizens to visit the prisoners.
Father said Parviz was driven to attempt of suicide. They want to make Parviz confess that someone passed money via him to Ali Kerimli from some official.
According to Kamran Hashimli , the employees of the MNS are involved slander and arrest people; and this Ministry "must be eliminated." He called on the Azerbaijani authorities to stop such "crimes." -03C04-
