Lawyer is distanced from the work by the order of Ramiz Rzayev

A trial to stop the lawyer  activity of Muzaffar Bahyshov has begun. On  April 1, the Presidium of the Bar Association decided to suspend his activities and address the court in connection with the termination of his authorities. The reason for this decision was an appeal to the Bar of the Supreme Court judge Tatyana Goldman. However, the lawyer believes that the reason for his dismissal  is  criticism of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan.

Bakhishov in an interview with Turan said that on  November 12  he  was involved in the trial of his client chaired by Tatyana Goldman. Another participant of the court was the former chief doctor of dental clinic  of the Defense Ministry,  Farhad Hajiyev.

He is the  physician of  Ramiz  Rzayev,  the  head of  the Supreme Court,  and said that despite any ruling of the court , the  Supreme Court will be on his side.

"And it happened. We have filed a complaint against the decision of the first instance court and won in the Court of Appeal. The opposite side filed an appeal to the Supreme Court," said the lawyer. At this stage, the judge contrary to the requirements of the Civil Procedure Code, decided to suspend production.

"After that, my client said that the other party does not respect the laws and asked that I did not speak, and that was done," said the lawyer.

On November 17, 2015 in an interview with  moderator.az , responding to a question about the judges, he said that the judiciary in Azerbaijan acts by political orders. "Just recently, at the direction of the head of the  Supreme Court Ramiz  Rzayev,  the judge Goldman judge rendered an illegal decision," said the lawyer.

After that,  on  18 November the judge Goldman  "falsified" records of the hearing of 12 November,  and sent an appeal to the Bar with request to punish Bahyshov.

The judge argued that the lawyer allegedly insulted her. At the same time, she does not disclose exactly what was  an insult, but merely noted that  he refused to  "speak in an insulting manner."

The lawyer said that he considers the claim  of the presidium  illegal, since the Presidium is not an independent  legal entity and does not have the right to go to court.

Bakhyshov  regarded his removal as a violation of his professional rights and freedom of speech.

Bakhyshov is also head of  "State of Law"  Research Foundation. It should be noted that a number of independent lawyers in Azerbaijan in recent years have been suspended from the profession: Khalid Bagirov, Aslan Ismayilov, Alaif Hasanov, Elchin Namazov, and  others.—06D-
