Mandatory medical examination of the intending spouses will be free
The order of compulsory medical examination of persons entering into a marriage has come into force on June 1, according to the Ministry of Health. The innovations are aimed at creating conditions for the formation of healthy families, preventing the birth of children with hereditary diseases, in particular, thalassemia and congenital. The surveys will be carried out free of charge in public health institutions, the Ministry of Health defined the place of residence of the intending spouses. Each marries must be screened for thalassemia, AIDS and syphilis.
At the same time, they will be provided with information on the results of the survey, as well as medical and genetic counseling, said Gulmirza Poladov at the board meeting of the Ministry of Health Head of the organization of medical care. The results of the medical examination will be submitted in writing.
The you people will be given a reference reflecting the results of the survey for submission to the Ministry of Justice.
The reference will be provided not later than two weeks after the appeal, its duration is one month.
Medical examination in the regions will be held in the central district hospitals and urban hospitals, established in advance by health departments.
In Baku people may be examined in each administrative district of the capital clinics, the central blood bank of the Research Institute of Hematology and its regional departments, Republican Perinatal Center.
All district and city health facilities have been provided with analyzers, reagents and related accessories, said the Ministry of Health. -06D-
