Gilan Company Involved in Production of Low-quality Polyurethane
In the joint statement of the General Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Internal Affairs on 22 May (http://www.genprosecutor.gov.az/?/az/pressreliz/view/403/) on the fire in the 9-storey building on Zikh Highway in the Khatai district of Baku on 10 April this year, the company TNH is mentioned. It provided the polyurethane facing for the facade of the building and was also the manufacturer.
The investigation by Turan IA revealed LLC Gilan owned by the family of the Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov was also involved in this company.
According to the state register of commercial legal entities, LLC TNH was established in May 2012. The name of the company was formed from the names of Taleh, Nijat and Hikmet. Its founders are Ltd. Hikmet Inshaat and LLC Gilan. The company owns a factory for the production of polyurethane in the Absheron region.
On the fire on Zikh Highway, when three people were injured, the investigation was conducted by the Operative Investigation Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and no one has been prosecuted. It seems that the investigation was prevented by the factor of direct relation of TNH to the Minister.
After the fire in a 16-storey building in the Binagadi district of Baku on 19 May, when 15 people were tragically killed, three officers of LLC TNH were arrested for four months. They are accused under Articles 225.2 and 308.2 of the Criminal Code. --08B-
