The economic importance of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline for the region, the reasons for late marriages, discussions of heat supply issues and other issues are leading topics in the media
The newspaper Azerbaijan in the article “BTC is a blessing for the entire region” assesses the importance of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline for the region. Over the years, revenues from the BTC main export pipeline will grow, and new global projects based on the experience of this transport system will bring even more dividends to the country.
In the first 9 months of this year, more than 24 million tons of crude oil was exported through the pipeline. Most of it, extracted from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields, is supplied to world markets via BTC.
In total, since its launch in mid-2006, BTC has exported 3.3 billion barrels (about 440 million tons) of crude oil.
The Moderator.az website explores the problem of late marriages with the doctor Rashid Mahmudov. The number of late marriages has increased in the country, and the average age at marriage for men and women is 29 years. This is the highest age in 29 years.
“I am worried about the number of late marriages in Azerbaijan. The state should take appropriate measures in this direction. In fact, girls who marry should be 21-23 years old, and boys should be 23-25 years old. But now the age of people entering into marriage is sometimes 33-35, or even 40 years,” Mahmudov said.
One reason for late marriages is material difficulty. In addition, there is uncertainty and mutual distrust among boys and girls to each other.
The Sfera.az website investigates heat supply problems. Serious shortcomings in the heat supply of apartments in the capital remain a serious problem.

Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
