Member of REAL Board Not Released from Azerbaijan
On June 17 in the morning the Border Service did not release a member of the Board of the movement REAL Erkin Gadirli from Azerbaijan.
The incident took place at the Baku International Airport when Gadirli was going to fly to Turkey on holiday.
"I went through the registration and border control, which put a stamp in my passport. But then I was stopped, stating that the stamp was put by mistake, because of my travel ban. After that, they put another stamp, Cancelled, and I was sent back,” Gadirli wrote on his Facebook page.
The opposition activist was unable to get an answer to the question of who banned his traveling and for what reason.
"The border guards said they did not know. I have no debt on loans, or unpaid fines for tax debts. I am not legally prosecuted or under investigation and I did not give a subscription about not departure.
One of the guards "profoundly" suggested that the ban may be associated with my "connections abroad."
However, the most likely reason for the ban was the incident with the illegal seizure of the posters of the REAL leader Ilgar Mamedov from the Ganun publishing house.
"Under the order for production of these posters there is also my signature. In connection with this order we have been called to the police. Now it is clear that for this I was forbidden to leave the country," Gadirli wrote.
Recall that the leader of REAL Ilgar Mamedov was sentenced on trumped-up charges of organizing riots. His comrades in the movement ordered the posters in his defense, but they were confiscated by the police. -03D-
