Baku / 17.12.18 / Turan: In the Gabala region, searches are being conducted for individuals who have shot deer in a forest area near the village of Vandam. Deer are included in the Red Book of Azerbaijan and hunting for them has been banned for many years.
According to the Ministry of Environment, the fact of illegal hunting was recorded by employees of the Gabala branch of the Ministry of Environment. Hearing the shots in the forest, they found the carcass of a dead deer. The police launched an investigation to establish the identity of the poachers who shot the deer.
Last month, a brown bear, also listed in the Red Book, was shot dead in the Shahdag National Park.
It should be noted that this zone is one of the popular places for hunting of wealthy individuals who ignore all the rules, with the support of government officials. -16D-
