The official newspaper Azerbaijan published material about the reform in the customs system, which involves simplification of the procedures. In particular, four corridors will be created for the passage of goods - Green, Blue, Yellow and Red. Each of the corridors provides a different level and nature of the procedures.

In particular, the Green includes the entry of goods and transport in the customs zone without physical inspection. The Blue provides for examination of goods and transport after entering the customs area. The Yellow corridor provides for the application of customs inspections and documentation. The Red corridor includes verification of all documents, goods, transport and individuals during customs control.

These changes will remove many of the problems of importers, of which they had previously complained, and the passage of goods through customs will be carried out quickly and smoothly, the article said.
