Press Review 02.02.2017

State youth policy, the classification of banks in the country, the export potential of the country, the reasons for the absence of market economy are the leading topics of today's press.

Newspaper "Azerbaijan" published material on the Youth Day, which was established by February 2, 1996. The author writes about the comprehensive development of young people, about studying abroad, state programs concerning the youth policy.

Website "Azadlıqinfo" discusses with expert Akram Hasanov the activities of banks, who notes that, under the law, banks are required on a quarterly basis publish reports on their websites.

However, of the 32 banks in the reports published only 17. The Chamber of Control over the financial market cannot ensure that banks publish reports.

"Exo" published an article about the trade opportunities of Azerbaijan. The Trade Mission of Azerbaijan abroad can contribute to the export of goods of light and heavy industry, construction materials, food, tobacco and alcohol products. But because of the meager selection of domestic goods commercial attaché of Azerbaijan has little to offer to the foreign market. Currently Azerbaijan except agricultural products and energy has nothing to offer to foreigners.

"New Times" published an article on the need for the law "On financial control" and the law "On the Code of competition." Both of these laws are not being discussed in the Milli Majlis, said MP Vahid Ahmedov. Azerbaijan is a small country, everyone knows who is a monopoly, and who protects high-ranking officials, some deputies and oligarchs.
