The place and role of Azerbaijan in the region, the issue of bonds, the situation in the economy and the leaving foreign investors are the leading topics of today's press.
The Azerbaijan newspaper has published an article entitled The Initiator of Global Projects. Azerbaijan is the fulcrum of peace and security in the region, the article says.
The author tells the story of 13 years of the reign of Ilham Aliyev, during which large-scale economic projects have been implemented.
The website Azadliq.info writes that the government is pulling the country into a morass, discussing this topic with an expert Nemat Aliyev. In particular, the economist considers the issue of bonds as ill-conceived move. In developed countries, bonds are issued, as a rule, by joint stock companies, but in Azerbaijan, the opposite happens: the Ministry of Finance, instead of healthier banking sector, creates companies to issue bonds.
Echo has published an article about the country's economic policy. According to the government forecast, economic growth in Azerbaijan in 2017 will be zero, that is, neither growth nor decline. However, experts believe the decline will continue, and growth will not begin before the end of 2017.
Novoye Vremya has published an article about the flight of investors from Azerbaijan. During the years of the oil boom no favorable environment for business and investments was created. This led to the fact that foreign investors are afraid to invest in the Azerbaijani economy. Half-hearted measures are not enough to stop the flight of foreign capital. Foreign companies need a guarantee of stable business and protection from economic and political turmoil. –0---

Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
