The Azerbaijan newspaper writes about Azerbaijani model of tolerance in the light of the Pope’s visit to Azerbaijan. The author calls Azerbaijan an example of religious tolerance.
"In your country religious freedom is fully secured,’ the author quotes the Pope. He believes the basis for the Pope's visit to Azerbaijan is the country's importance on a global scale and its leadership among the Muslim countries in terms of democracy, secularism and openness.
The author calls the Pontiff’s visit another victory of Ilham Aliyev’s diplomacy.
The website Azadliq.info writes about Azerbaijan's relations with the West, based on the opinion of a member of the Coordinating Center of the National Council Eldeniz Guliyev. He calls confrontation with the EU absurd and also warns that Azerbaijan may become a victim of the expansive policy of Russia and its unceasing imperial ambitions. Therefore, it is stupid to quarrel with Europe.
Novoye Vremya has published an article "Reserves of Central Bank Decrease Strongly." The Central Bank reserves as of 30 September amounted to $ 4 billion 132.7 million, the CBA website said. At the end of 2015, the currency reserves amounted to $ 5 billion 16.7 million. Thus, the main bank lost 17.6% in January-September 2016.
Reserves of the Central Bank and the State Oil Fund are a guarantee of financial security. But at the current rate of loss of funds, no one can guarantee a stable exchange rate of the national currency.
