As a result, Idrak’s eye was damaged, ribs were broken and other internal organs were injured. Since then, the visual ability of the journalist worsened, which resulted in an eye injury. Doctors noted the presence of haematoma, damage to the lens of the eye, and recommended surgery.
This week, the journalist will be in clinic, the operation has become possible thank to financial support of "Reporters without borders".
"I am deeply grateful to my colleagues from the RBC, which monitor the problems of the press in Azerbaijan, and do not forget to help our journalists," said Idrak Abbasov.
The reason for his beating became a survey of demolition of houses in Sulutepe. None of the attackers had been brought to justice and punished, despite the promises of SOCAR. -02В-
