Situation Surrounding Military Plant in Shirvan Remains Difficult
On the morning of July 27 four people who suffered during yesterday's explosion in the military factory Araz in Shirvan are in hospital. Three of them are in Shirvan and one has been transferred to the trauma hospital in Baku, Turan was told by the head of the press service of the Ministry of Health Liya Bayramova. According to her, the life of the wounded is no threat.
As for the victims, the Ministry of Health has no information on the matter. As Bayramova noted, none of the victims died in hospital.
Note that yesterday after the explosion the official bodies did not confirm media reports of deaths. At 18:00 the Ministry of Defense Industry reported there were no victims.
No casualties were mentioned in the joint statement by the Interior Ministry, Emergencies Ministry and Prosecutor General's Office.
Only at 22:00 the Ministry of Defense Industry announced two employees killed.
Up to now there is no coherent information about the liquidation of the consequences of the explosion.
According to information in social networks, attempts to take complete control of the situation have not succeeded, and rescuers cannot enter the territory of the enterprise due to the threat of ammunition exploding. According to the same sources, there could still be people in the plant and their fate is unclear.
According to unofficial information, some employees could take refuge in an underground bunker, but official sources did not comment on this information.
The state commission created yesterday to investigate the causes of the explosion has not yet made any statements. -06D-
