State Committee - Importation of Gulen’s Books Not Allowed, But Reading Them Not Forbidden
It is not allowed to import books by Fethullah Gulen to Azerbaijan, the Head of the Department of Religious Studies of the State Committee for Work with Religious Associations Nahid Mammadov told Turan.
In general, according to him, there is no "forbidden" term for importation of religious literature. In fact, an opinion is given on the advisability or otherwise of the importation of particular books, he said.
Mammadov also noted that the decision to call the import of Gulen’s boks to Azerbaijan inappropriate has been in force since 2008.
The criteria for the recognition of religious books as inappropriate mean the presence of signs of incitement of religious enmity, hatred, or superiority in them.
The books associated with Gulen promote the superiority of members of the Gulen Community, because of which they are considered inappropriate in Azerbaijan. -06D--
