Trial in the jail Kurdakhani at the suit of the former opposition member Elman Hasanov (Turkoglu) against the journalist Khadija Ismailova completed. The Binagadi Court chaired by the judge Sadraddin Hajiyev found the journalist guilty under the Article 147.2 (slander) and fined 2,500 manat, the correspondent of Turan. The judge did not allow journalists to attend the trial , and they learned the verdict from a lawyer Elton Guliyev.
Elman Hasanov "on the recommendation" of law enforcement agencies (as he himself admitted) filed a lawsuit alleging that Ismailova insulted him by publishing a document that he is an agent of the Ministry of National Security. However, in the published document his name was not mentioned. This document appeared two years ago in social networks and was published by former officer of the MNS, and now a political refugee Ramin Nagiyev. The lawyer of the journalist called today's decision by the court "illegal and unjust", and intends to appeal.
Several claims have been made Hadija Ismaylova, and several lawsuits are going against her. After the claim from Elman Hasanov, appeared lawsuit of the journalist Tural Mustafayev, claiming that Ismaylova drove him to attempt suicide.
The court took this absurd accusation as the base, and Ismayilova was arrested. When she was already in custody, prosecutors filed new charges against her of embezzling, tax evasion, abuse of authority.
Now the authorities have returned to the original claim, and a trial was held in the jail, where Ismaylova is being kept since December 5 last year.
International and local public regards Ismayilova prisoner of conscience, and believe that the true reason for her persecution- is the investigation of the corruption of the ruling family and other high officials.-16/03В-

A group of journalists today were not admitted to the trial of Khadija Ismayilova, which is held in the Kurdakhani jail.
Earlier, the judge of the court of Binagadi, Sadraddin Hajiyev called journalists who wish to attend to come to the courthouse on Monday morning. But by this time neither the judge nor his assistant was there. Later it became known that the judge went to the jail in Kurdakhani.
The head of the court office named Azer promised reporters to remind the judge of the promise given to journalists. But half an hour later the head of the office said that the assistant referee "still did not come out of the closet" and talk to him was not possible because of that.
Then the journalists themselves came to prison and turned to the judge Sadraddin Hajiyev, recalling his promise. However, the judge pretended not to hear that and went into the building. -05B-
