The human rights activist calls the head of the Interior Ministry to stop police brutality
The head of the Public Alliance "Azerbaijan without political prisoners" Oktay Gyulalyev appealed to Interior Minister Ramil Usubov in connection with the violation of his civil rights.
In his letter the human rights activist said that a month after the termination of criminal proceedings against him, retained the ban on his leaving the country, and he is not issued a passport.
According to Gyulalyev, the criminal case was closed on the eve of the meeting in Astana on October 24-26, the board of the international organization "Transparency Initiative in the extractive industry", which raised the question of expelling Azerbaijan from the structure to the persecution of civil society activists. Then the termination of the criminal case was presented by the authorities, as evidence of the cessation of persecution, but in reality it is not.
Gyulalyev requests the head of the Interior Ministry to eliminate lawlessness and to issue him a passport, as well as eliminate the actual ongoing preventive measure - being under police surveillance. -06D-
