The police chief of Baku and the prosecutor in the role of censors
"I was called to the General Directorate of Police in Baku and made a warning in connection with my work as a journalist, but I did not sign the paper on the prevention." Turan was told by the employee of the newspaper Azadlig Natig Adilov.
According to him, he was not informed of the reason for call to the police.
Adilov said that he was received by the chief of the department Rafiq Abbasov and the city prosecutor Aziz Seyidov . They told the reporter that his materials in the newspaper and social networking go beyond what is permitted, demean the state and cast a shadow on the country's achievements."
Disagreeing with the pointless accusations, Adilov asked about what exactly the material was in question. To this they replied that "there were many such articles ."
Adilov regarded this as a threat and intimidation to stop his journalistic activities.
In protest against the pressure and intimidation Adilov intends to sue both officials. -05B04-
