Social network today exploded after the scandalous statements by Nagif Khamzayev, a newfound parliamentarian from Ganja who insulted the founder of the Azerbaijan People's Republic Mamedemina Rasulzadeh. Media reported him saying that "Rasulzade was a traitor who gave Armenians Irevan and the vast territory. In addition, he worked for foreign countries and I do not such a politician," said the deputy.
After publishing this statement thousands of users expressed their indignation and demanded punishment of Khamzayev and revocation of his parliamentary mandate.
The leader of the party "Musavat" Arif Hajili, sent a letter to the Speaker of the Parliament Oktay Asadov, demanding to punish the MP for his unethical behavior and "insulting the Azerbaijani people."
