There is a logjam of vehicles at the customs checkpoint Samur on the Azerbaijani-Russian border in recent days. On the Azerbaijani side there are not any problems, according to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan. The reason for the logjam is low throughput on the Russian side.
To resolve this problem, the heads of the customs departments of the two countries held a telephone conversation and outlined measures to address the issue as soon as possible.
At 14.00 on Friday a meeting of representatives of the customs and border agencies of the two countries will be held, the same source said. -06D-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
