UAE Citizens Fined for Illegal Hunting
On April 13 citizens of the United Arab Emirates, Butti Ahmed Ali Ghamin Almansoori, Mohamed Eisa Mohamed Khamdam Almansoori and Sultan Salem Salem Kltham Alkeden, were detained in the Salyan district of Azerbaijan. With them was a resident of the Garasu village of the Hajigabul district Vurgun Melikov, who organized the hunt for the Arabs.
The detainees were seized a hunting rifle and ammunition. The detainees were fined 2 thousand manats each, according to the Ministry of Environment report.
A similar case took place in Feb ruary in the Imishli region, where residents of Saudi Arabia and Qatar were engaged in falconry. Then their car fell into a canal, and two of the four passengers were killed.
Although the Ministry of Environment efforts, foreigners increasingly and freely come to the country and are engaged in illegal hunting.
This is organized by private companies owned by oligarchs or some ministers, who for high fees allow foreigners to hunt where they want and how they want.
