With a passport to football match?
The authorities are preparing intensively to the European Games in Baku, trying to best protect themselves and upcoming events from all sorts of "surprises". Tough penalties for attempts to disrupt sporting events and the sale of counterfeit tickets will be applied. Appropriate changes to the Code of Administrative Offences and the Law "On Physical Culture and Sports" were discussed on April 14 at the Committee on Social Policy of the Milli Majlis. The Head of the Committee Hadi Rajabli said that tougher penalties will be taken to ensure the safety of the competition. In particular, for the distribution of counterfeit tickets is introduced fine of 500 manat for individuals, 2,000 manat - to officials, and 5,000 manat - for business persons.
Sale of tickets at inflated prices will be penalized at the rate of 1.500 – 2,000 manat for officials and 5,000 – 7,000 manat for legal entities.
Attempt to disrupt sporting events will be fine for individuals - 500 manat, officials – 2,000 manat, legal entities – 5,000 manat.
Amendments are made to the law "On physical culture and sport" prohibiting attending sporting events without identity documents, as well as masks.
Persons intoxicated or having alcoholic beverages, drugs, any weapons, fireworks, objects that represent a threat to humans will not be allowed to the events, as well as people with flags, logos, posters and so on.
After discussions, both amendments were recommended for discussion the session of the Parliament. -02D-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
